Central Bank of The Bahamas “No Paper” Policy
In the wake of the current COVID-19 pandemic and in an effort to improve the efficiency of its operations, the Central Bank wishes to remind licensees, stakeholders, and the general public, that the Bank has ceased to accept applications for products or services, or submission of documents to the Bank in “paper format”. The only exception are documents which must be legally served by hand. Regulatory applications, Bahamas Registered Stock (BRS) subscriptions or Exchange Control Department (EC) and other similar applications are available on the Bank’s website (www.centralbankbahamas.com) or by contacting the Bank via email.
The Central Bank, further advises, that it is no longer necessary to submit paper copies of any document previously transmitted electronically, including applications and required supporting documents.
