Jr. Professionals Summer Programme

Published: Tuesday February 24th, 2009

Committed to ensuring that potential financial services professionals are exposed to the best training and development opportunities, the Central Bank now introduces a Junior Professionals Summer Programme (JPSP), which provides opportunities specifically for students completing their final year of college or university. It is believed that these students will provide the Bank with a talent pool of upcoming professionals from which it may draw candidates, for entry-level positions in the Bank. The Junior Professionals Summer Programme will provide opportunities to five Bahamian students entering their final year of college or university to participate in an intensive summer internship experience in various departments of the Bank. Students will have the opportunity to participate in the actual work of the department and also the privilege of being mentored by a professional of the Bank during their stay and during the completion of their final year of study. They will also benefit from seminars/presentations on the Bahamian banking/trust sectors, aspects of central banking, the role of the Bank in the Bahamian economy, and work ethics.
