Draft Credit Reporting Bill, 2014 and Reporting Regulations, 2014

The Consultation Paper provides an overview of key provisions of the Draft Credit Reporting Bill, 2014 and the Draft Credit Reporting Regulations, 2014. The Central Bank is seeking to establish a national credit reporting system in The Bahamas and has prepared the draft Bill and Regulations with a view to ensuring that an appropriate legal and regulatory framework is in place to support a national credit reporting system. The draft Credit Reporting Bill, 2014 and the draft Credit Reporting Regulations, 2014 are set out at Annexes 1 and 2 of the Consultation Paper.
