Resident and Resident Branch Designation 

N.B: We require formal notice of any change in ownership of all designated entities. 

ALL APPLICANTS

i. entity’s name and address;

ii. a copy of the entity’s Certificate of Incorporation/Registration in The Bahamas or other
formation document(s);

iii. a copy of the entity’s incorporating documents (i.e., Memorandum and Articles of Association),
if applicable;

iv. confirmation of the specific purpose for which the entity was established;

v. a copy of the relevant pages of the passport along with documentation to confirm the Bahamas
immigration status, if any, for each of the entity’s beneficial owner(s);

vi. confirmation of the amount (to be) invested into the entity by each beneficial owner and the
account on which the funds will pass to the entity (i.e., shareholders loan, contributed surplus,
or otherwise), if applicable;

vii. a list of any local capital assets previously acquired by the entity, if applicable.

LOCALLY INCORPORATED COMPANIES

i. confirmation of the company’s authorized share capital, class and par value of shares;

ii. confirmation of the number of shares to be held by each shareholder;

iii. confirmation of the consideration to be paid for the shares held by each shareholder.

ENTITIES THAT WILL UNDERTAKE TRADE/COMMERCIAL ACTIVITIES IN THE BAHAMAS (OTHER
THAN PROPERTY RENTAL)

i. a copy of the Bahamas Investment Authority’s approval for the entity and its non-resident
owners;

ii. details of how the entity’s local trading/commercial activities will be financed;

iii. a list of the entity’s long-term liabilities, if applicable.

ENTITIES THAT PROPOSE TO ACQUIRE PROPERTY IN THE BAHAMAS

i. a copy of the sales agreement with respect to the property being acquired;

ii. a copy of the Bahamas Investments Board Permit in the entity’s favor;

iii. a copy of the relevant pages of the passport along with documentation to confirm the Bahamas
immigration status, if any, for the vendor;

iv. a copy of the recorded conveyance and Bahamas Investments Board Permit/Certificate of
Registration, if applicable, in the vendor’s favor
