Annual AML/CFT/CPF Survey for Banks and Trusts Companies
There are two (2) Surveys under this area, which should be completed by the applicable Supervised Financial Institutions (SFIs), as indicated below:
The Banks and Trust Companies Survey is to be completed by International Banks and Trust Companies and Pure Trust Companies
The Banks Survey is to be completed by International Banks and Commercial Banks
These Annual AML/CFT/CPF Surveys as indicated above (the Surveys) and submitted to the Central Bank of The Bahamas (“the Central Bank”) will be used to analyze trends and evaluate financial crime risks of SFIs within the respective sectors.
These Guidance Notes serve as a companion tool to the Surveys and provide SFIs with an overview of the filing and reporting instructions.
The submission of the Surveys are required of all SFIs as noted above, exclusive of nominee trust companies, those that solely conduct group business, those whose license has been downgraded to non-active status or unless otherwise advised.
