Press Release
National Financial Inclusion Business Survey
The Central Bank of The Bahamas has commissioned a National Financial Inclusion Business Survey, to support its ongoing efforts to advance financial inclusion in The Bahamas. The purpose of the initiative is to strengthen the Central Bank’s understanding of how small, medium and large businesses across The Bahamas access and use financial services; while, collecting data on payment usage to inform policy on improving financial inclusion.
The Survey is being conducted on behalf of the Central Bank, by Public Domain, an independent third-party survey and research firm. During the September – December 2026 period, members of the business community may be contacted directly—in person or via telephone—by a representative of Public Domain and invited to participate in the National Financial Inclusion Business Survey.
The Survey will include questions on businesses’ access and use of financial services and payments; and may include aspects of the businesses’ operations. Your participation is voluntary, and you may skip any question or stop at any time. The answers received from the Survey will be kept confidential and reported only in a combined form, that does not identify any individual or business.
Businesses contacted by the Survey team may request verification of the Survey and the identity of the representative(s). Survey respondents may also confirm the authenticity of the call or visit by contacting the Research Department at [email protected].
The Central Bank encourages the business community to participate in this important initiative, and to provide accurate and honest responses.
