The Central Bank of The Bahamas has released a Consultation Paper on its Proposals to Repeal and Replace the Central Bank of The Bahamas Act, 2000. The Consultation Paper provides an overview of key provisions of the Draft Central Bank of The Bahamas Bill, 2018 which seeks to modernise the law governing the Central Bank of The Bahamas. The draft Central Bank of The Bahamas Bill, 2018 is set out in the Annex to the Consultation Paper.
